Our Story

Born from experience. Made with love. Designed to make life a little easier.

Every product has a story, but this one begins with a mum, a challenge, and a boy named Harry. The Harry Harness was born from real-life experience - created not in a lab or factory, but in the heart of a family learning how to navigate the world together.

Joanne & Harry’s Story

Hi, I’m Joanne – and this is my son, Harry. Harry is autistic and has ADHD. He’s incredibly bright, curious and full of energy. But like many children with additional needs, he sometimes finds the world around him overwhelming.

Simple things like going out to the shops or taking part in a school trip became incredibly stressful. Holding hands wasn’t always an option. Reins felt too babyish. Wrist straps caused meltdowns.

So I made something just for us – a harness that gently connects us both at the waist. It gave Harry space to move, while giving me the confidence that he was still close. And best of all, he didn’t mind wearing it.

From One Family to Many

It started as a personal solution to a specific need I had for my child. However, I quickly noticed that people began asking me where I got it - friends, teachers, even complete strangers I encountered at the park, drawn in by the harness’s practicality and effectiveness. It was during these exchanges that I realised something important: maybe this innovative solution could help other families and carers navigate their daily lives more easily and securely as well.

I’ve used The Harry Harness in a variety of situations. Each time, it has provided the support and reassurance I needed.

This harness has now transformed into something much more significant than just a functional tool; it’s become an integral part of how we live our lives - confidently and with dignity. It represents a commitment to ensuring that our family experiences the world fully, without unnecessary worry.
